Wacky Waves

On Thursday, June 24, the Children's Department hosted a science program about water and its properties.

We learned about density. We also tried to remove oil from water, just like people are trying to do in the Gulf of Mexico.

It was hard to use only use cotton balls, cotton swabs, and pipettes.

It did not help that Hurricane Dan stirred up the water from time to time.
